Cameco Submits Annual Financial Report, Reveals Mixed Operational Results

Cameco Corporation has officially filed its audited financial statements for the 2025 fiscal year with securities regulators in both the United States and Canada. The submitted documents present a nuanced financial picture, characterized by stronger revenue figures set against a backdrop of declining physical output.

Revenue Growth Driven by Pricing, Not Volume

A key highlight from the report is an 11% year-over-year increase in total revenue. This uplift was primarily fueled by higher realized prices for uranium throughout the period. A segment breakdown shows the company's core uranium business generated a 7% revenue increase, while its Fuel Services division reported a more substantial 22% gain.

However, this top-line growth was not supported by operational volume. Total uranium production for the year fell by 10%, reaching 21 million pounds. Sales volumes also experienced a slight contraction. This confirms that the revenue improvement was almost entirely attributable to favorable pricing dynamics rather than an increase in the quantity of material sold.

Production and Delivery Forecast for 2026

Looking ahead to the current year, Cameco anticipates a further reduction in its delivery volumes. The company is targeting uranium deliveries in the range of 29 to 32 million pounds for 2026. This compares to the 33 million pounds delivered in the previous year. On the production front, guidance is set between 19.5 and 21.5 million pounds.
