BYD recently reported a 41% year-on-year sales decline for February 2026, marking the sixth consecutive month of falling delivery figures. The company sold 190,190 electric vehicles, a figure substantially below the previous year's performance. Industry observers cite reduced purchase incentives and disruptions from the Chinese New Year holidays as contributing factors to the domestic slowdown.

While the home market shows weakness, BYD's international business demonstrates resilience. For the first time, the company's export sales in a single month surpassed its domestic sales within China.
