Bechtle's Annual Report: A Pivotal Moment for the Struggling Stock
11.03.2026 - 07:06:18 | boerse-global.deWhile IT services provider Bechtle concluded its 2025 fiscal year with solid operational performance, its equity tells a starkly different story. The shares have shed approximately 26% since the start of the year, trading near a 52-week low. All eyes are now on March 20, when the company will release its audited annual figures. Investors are waiting to see if the guidance for 2026 can shift the prevailing negative sentiment.
The Crucial Guidance for the Coming Year
The upcoming report will include more than just the certified results for the past year; it will also feature Bechtle's official outlook for 2026. This forward-looking statement is likely to be the critical factor for the market. Should management issue a cautious annual forecast, selling pressure on the stock could persist. Conversely, a more confident projection than anticipated could provide the catalyst for a rebound. Currently trading around €32.50, the share price remains significantly below its 200-day moving average of nearly €39.
CEO Thomas Olemotz has already cautioned that price increases from hardware manufacturers and potential supply bottlenecks may weigh on performance in 2026. This view is echoed by some analysts. Following the quarterly update, UBS researcher Christopher Tong reduced his profit forecasts for 2026 and 2027. He maintains a 'buy' recommendation with a price target of €47.50 but notes that elevated memory chip prices could limit the stock's recovery potential.
A Year of Contrasts: Strong Finish Amid Modest Growth
Preliminary figures released in early February painted a mixed picture for the full year. Overall growth remained modest, with revenue climbing about 2% to €6.4 billion. The total business volume reached approximately €8.6 billion, an 8% increase. Earnings before tax (EBT) came in at around €324 million, representing an EBT margin of 5%. The year was partly burdened by the delayed passage of the German federal budget, which slowed public sector tenders.
However, the fourth quarter told a different story, delivering a clear year-end recovery. Business volume surged by more than 16%, and EBT jumped 20% year-over-year to €121 million.

Securing Major Contracts and Expanding Reach
Despite the challenging environment, Bechtle successfully secured several significant contracts. In a joint venture with HPE, the company won the tender for the Provitako IT service provider consortium, a deal worth €501 million. Additionally, Bechtle received another award for a low-code solution framework agreement for public administrations, valued at €450 million over four years. These wins substantially strengthen its position in the public sector, a key growth lever.
The company is also expanding its European footprint. The acquisition of Hungarian PLM specialist EuroSolid means Bechtle is now active in the Product Lifecycle Management segment across nine European markets.
