After lying dormant for more than four decades, the Corvo uranium project is poised for a significant revival. Canadian explorer Aventis Energy is now mobilizing its teams for an inaugural drilling program in the Athabasca Basin, funded by a recently completed capital raise. For investors, this marks the commencement of a critical validation phase: can promising historical data be confirmed by modern exploration techniques?

The groundwork for this ambitious exploration was financially secured in late 2025. Aventis Energy successfully raised approximately CAD 2.5 million through a private placement. A notable aspect of this financing was the issue price of CAD 0.41 per share, which represented a substantial premium to the prevailing trading price at the time—a signal of institutional investor confidence in the project's potential.

This optimism is reflected in the company's market performance. Since the start of the year, its shares have advanced by 20.22%, with the current price standing at €0.16. However, a Relative Strength Index (RSI) reading of 73.3 suggests the equity has entered overbought territory in the near term, warranting some caution. Despite the recent gains, the share price remains approximately 60% below its 52-week high.

Operational Blueprint and Timeline

The company has finalized plans for its fully-funded drilling campaign. Scheduled to commence in early February 2026, the program will involve 8 to 10 drill holes spanning a total of 2,500 to 3,000 meters. The exploration will concentrate on shallow targets, with depths of less than 200 to 300 meters.

A primary area of interest is the "Manhattan Zone." While never before drilled, historical surface samples from this area have returned uranium grades as high as 8.10% U₃O₈. To mitigate the risk of unsuccessful drilling, the company conducted extensive gravity surveys in advance. This geophysical data is now being used to precisely locate subsurface anomalies that frequently indicate the presence of uranium-bearing systems.

The Road Ahead

The operational schedule is tightly sequenced, providing clear milestones for market observers. Following the drill start in February, initial visual inspections of the extracted core samples and downhole radioactivity measurements are anticipated in early 2026. The definitive laboratory assay results, which will determine the geological success of the entire campaign, are expected by the end of the first quarter of 2026.
