A cornerstone of the ETF's enduring popularity is its competitive fee structure. State Street Global Advisors maintains an aggressive stance in the market with a Total Expense Ratio (TER) of just 0.12% annually, undercutting many older and more expensive competing products. To track its underlying index—which contains over 1,300 constituents—the fund employs an optimized sampling methodology.
