A Canadian junior explorer is doubling down on antimony, a metal the U.S. and EU have flagged as strategic, as it launches its most ambitious drilling campaign yet at the Bald Hill project in New Brunswick.

Antimony Resources is set to begin a 19,000-meter drilling program from the second week of May, with the bulk of the work — 13,000 meters — dedicated to expanding the known mineralization at the Main Zone. The remaining 6,000 meters will test three newly identified satellite targets: Marcus, BH Central and BH South.

The Main Zone currently extends over 600 meters of strike length and reaches depths of 350 meters, with average widths of four to five meters. Historical sampling has returned antimony grades ranging from 3% to 4%. The company believes the deposit has room to grow both laterally and at depth, and the new drill holes are designed to push those boundaries.

The push comes on the heels of a just-completed 25,000-meter definition program that wrapped up in late April. That work involved 77 drill holes and generated more than 1,500 core samples now being processed at laboratories in Ontario. First assay results are expected in May 2026.

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

SRK Consultants is simultaneously working on the company's inaugural NI-43-101 compliant resource estimate, which will be based on data from 43 holes drilled during the earlier phase. A conceptual target outlined in a previous technical report pointed to roughly 2.7 million tonnes at grades between 3% and 4% antimony.

Satellite Zones Add to the Puzzle

Beyond the Main Zone, the company is exploring a broader land package that has grown to more than 2,000 hectares following recent acquisitions. Regional exploration spanning 37 square kilometers has already identified three separate geochemical anomalies on the Second Run claims, located about three kilometers south of the main deposit.

Rock samples from the Marcus West zone have returned intervals of stibnite — the primary antimony mineral — up to 11 meters thick. The company plans to submit its production permit application between the fourth quarter of 2026 and the first quarter of 2027, and environmental and permitting work is already underway.

Antimony Resources at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

Geopolitical Tailwinds

Antimony prices have remained elevated well above historical averages, with the metal currently trading at around $51,800 per tonne — down from a record high of nearly $60,000 reached last summer. The strategic importance of the metal was underscored when China temporarily suspended export restrictions on critical minerals to the U.S., highlighting the fragility of global supply chains and the growing premium on North American sources.

The company's treasury received a boost in February when exercised warrants generated more than C$1.2 million, providing sufficient funding for the upcoming work program. With the first resource estimate expected in the coming weeks and fresh drilling data from satellite zones following shortly after, Antimony Resources is entering a period that will define the project's economic potential.
