Antimony Resources Nears Completion of Key Drilling Campaign
08.04.2026 - 05:46:16 | boerse-global.deThe global antimony market has experienced significant disruption since China implemented export controls on the critical mineral in late 2024, driving prices to approximately $60,000 per tonne at their peak. Against this backdrop of tight supply, Antimony Resources is advancing its Bald Hill project in New Brunswick toward a crucial operational milestone.
Drilling Campaign Approaches Final Stage
A major 10,000-meter drilling program is scheduled for completion in April 2026. Initial results have been highly encouraging, with between 75% and 80% of all boreholes intersecting high-grade stibnite mineralization. The data collected is expected to verify the geological continuity of the deposit and will form the foundation for a future mineral resource estimate.
The Bald Hill asset is recognized as one of the more substantial antimony deposits in North America. A technical report compliant with National Instrument 43-101 outlines an exploration target of around 2.7 million tonnes, with average grades estimated between 3% and 4% antimony. Certain high-grade sections have exceeded 30%. The principal zone extends along a 700-meter strike length, remains open in all directions, and has been traced to a depth of at least 400 meters.

Permitting Strategy Takes Shape
On April 6, the company engaged GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists to develop a detailed permitting strategy for the project. Preliminary discussions with representatives of the New Brunswick provincial government have already been held. The objective is to formalize the regulatory pathway and establish a clear timeline for transitioning from the exploration phase into production.
Financial Backing and Analyst Outlook
The company’s treasury is supported by a financing round finalized in December 2025, which provided net proceeds of 8.70 million Canadian dollars. In late March 2026, analysts at GBC AG reaffirmed their buy recommendation on the stock, citing the project's strategic value and the constrained antimony supply landscape. Their price target stands at 3.00 CAD.
Classified as a critical mineral in the United States and a strategic raw material in the European Union, antimony's importance to modern industry is underscored by the current market dynamics. With the drilling program concluding and the permitting process now initiating, the Bald Hill project is entering a phase where geological potential could be transformed into tangible production prospects.
