Antimony Resources Nears a Pivotal Inflection Point as Bald Hill Data Pours In

The countdown is on for Antimony Resources. With the final drill samples from its Bald Hill project now in the lab and a first-ever certified resource estimate from SRK Consultants imminent, the Canadian junior is closing in on the moment that could redefine its trajectory. The company is poised to transition from pure explorer to project developer, and the next few weeks will be decisive.

A Dual-Pronged Strategy Takes Shape

The company wrapped up its 25,000-metre definition drilling program at Bald Hill in New Brunswick on April 28, 2026. Results from those assays are expected within three to four weeks. But Antimony Resources isn’t waiting around. Come mid-May, it plans to launch an 11,000-metre follow-up campaign targeting zones well beyond the known Main Zone.

The expansion drilling will focus on the Marcus Zone, the Central Zone, and the South Zone. Early results from the BH Central Zone—located roughly 150 metres south of the Main Zone—returned 2.8% antimony over 8.1 metres. At Marcus West, massive stibnite veins up to 11 metres thick were encountered, displaying structural similarities to the Main Zone. The project area now spans more than 2,000 hectares.

High-Grade Hits and an Open-Ended System

The recently completed definition program delivered some standout intercepts. Hole BH-25-34 cut 4.38% antimony over 7.05 metres, including a high-grade interval of 9.76% over 3.15 metres. An updated 3D model underscores the potential: the Main Zone remains open in all directions, stretches 600 metres along strike, and extends to depths beyond 400 metres.

A previous technical report outlined a conceptual exploration target of roughly 2.7 million tonnes grading between 3% and 4% antimony. Management stresses that this is not a confirmed resource but a directional target—one that the upcoming SRK estimate will either validate or refine.

Geopolitical Tailwinds and Price Dynamics

Antimony’s strategic importance is hard to overstate. Both the US and the EU classify it as a critical mineral, essential for flame retardants, solar panels, and defence applications. In a move that temporarily eased trade tensions, Beijing suspended export restrictions on critical minerals to the US until November 2026. While that has narrowed the price gap between Chinese and international markets, it has also underscored Western supply-chain vulnerabilities.

The metal’s price hit an all-time high of US$59,750 per tonne on July 4, 2025, according to Fastmarkets. It currently sits at US$51.80 per kilogram, having eased slightly since the start of the year. Structural demand from the energy transition and the tech sector—data centres require antimony for flame-retardant PVC—continues to underpin the market.

Financial Position and Analyst Sentiment

Antimony Resources is well-funded for the work ahead. In February, the company brought in more than C$1.2 million through warrant exercises, securing near-term exploration spending.

GBC AG initiated coverage in April 2026 with a buy rating and a C$3.00 price target, citing New Brunswick’s mining-friendly regulatory environment. The stock last traded on the Canadian Securities Exchange at C$1.00, well off its all-time high of C$1.65 set in mid-March. Technical resistance sits at C$1.35.

The Road Ahead

The SRK resource estimate—expected in late April or early May—will provide the first bankable foundation for Bald Hill’s valuation. Until then, the project remains a promise backed by growing geological evidence. Once the estimate is published, Antimony Resources will have a credible basis for project economics, and the market will have a clearer picture of what Bald Hill is truly worth.

With assay results due in the coming weeks and a new drill campaign ready to roll, the company is entering a period of intense news flow. For investors watching the critical metals space, the next few weeks could set the tone for the rest of the year.
