Antimony Resources Drills 19,000 Metres as Bald Hill Resource Estimate Nears

The drill rigs are turning again at Antimony Resources' Bald Hill project, and the stakes have rarely been higher. The company has launched its most ambitious exploration campaign to date, putting 19,000 metres of drilling into the ground just as a pivotal resource estimate approaches.
The programme, confirmed by option partner Globex Mining Enterprises, splits into two distinct targets. Some 13,000 metres will focus on extending the main zone, which geological modelling now shows remains open in all directions and extends beyond 400 metres depth. The remaining 6,000 metres will test three newly identified zones that have never been drilled before.
Previous work has already defined the main zone over a strike length of 600 metres, with mineralisation averaging three to four percent antimony. One deep hole returned 4.38 percent antimony over seven metres, feeding into an updated geological model that continues to expand the project's footprint.
Laboratory Results Due This Month
Over 1,500 bore core samples from the last campaign are currently sitting in external laboratories, with first results expected in May. The timing creates a data-rich window for the company, as SRK Consultants finalises the first official resource estimate — the single most important milestone of the year.
Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?
A technical report from last year outlined a conceptual target of roughly 2.7 million tonnes. The upcoming SRK study will translate those expectations into measured and indicated resources, providing the first independently verified picture of what Bald Hill actually contains.
Antimony Market Remains Structurally Tight
The macro backdrop continues to favour domestic antimony production. The metal currently trades at around US$52 per kilogramme, representing a 171 percent gain since the start of 2024. While prices have eased from last summer's peaks, the level remains elevated by historical standards.
North America continues to command the highest premiums, driven by supply chain vulnerabilities. China has temporarily suspended export controls on critical minerals to the US, but that reprieve runs only until 27 November 2026. The deadline adds urgency to Antimony Resources' development timeline.
A Two-Track Strategy
The company is pursuing parallel workstreams. Alongside the drilling programme, environmental studies and permitting processes are advancing. If the SRK resource estimate delivers the anticipated tonnages, the company plans to submit a formal permit application by the end of 2026, with a target of early 2027 at the latest.
Antimony Resources at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.
Commercial discussions are also on the horizon. Once the resource is confirmed, management intends to open talks on future offtake agreements, positioning Bald Hill as a secure North American supply source as the geopolitical clock ticks down.
The market has taken notice of the accelerated pace. Antimony Resources shares last closed at C$1.45, delivering a roughly 1,000 percent gain over the past twelve months. The next few weeks will determine whether the fundamental data can match that momentum.
