Antimony Resources Crosses the Threshold from Drilling to Defining

Antimony Resources wraps up 12,500m definition drilling at Bald Hill, targeting a maiden NI 43-101 resource estimate by May 2026 amid surging antimony prices.

The drill rigs are falling silent at Bald Hill, but the real countdown has just begun.

Antimony Resources has wrapped up its 2026 definition drilling campaign on the New Brunswick antimony project, marking the end of fieldwork and the start of a process the company has never undertaken: a maiden NI 43-101-compliant mineral resource estimate. The final meters were completed on April 28, and the data package now totals 25,000 meters of drilling across the Bald Hill Main Zone, with the current 12,500-meter program designed specifically to achieve the roughly 50-meter drill spacing required to support a formal resource calculation.

Samples are already in the lab. Activation Laboratories in Stoney Creek, Ontario, is processing the assays, with final results expected three to four weeks after program completion. The resource estimate itself is slated for release in late April or early May 2026, with SRK Consultants of Toronto handling the calculation. SRK brings relevant experience to the task, having recently completed a resource estimate for the former Beaverbrook producing deposit in Newfoundland.

While the company waits, a continuously updated 3D model of the mineralization is being built. A prior technical report outlined a conceptual target of roughly 2.7 million tonnes grading between 3% and 4% antimony — but Antimony Resources is careful to stress that this number remains unconfirmed, a conceptual target rather than a defined mineral resource.

The pause between drilling campaigns will be brief. Come mid-May, the company plans to launch an 11,000-meter program targeting zones outside the Main Zone, specifically the Marcus Zone, the Central Zone, and the South Zone. The Marcus West Zone has already shown stibnite outcrops up to 11 meters thick, while trench sampling in the BH Central Zone, roughly 150 meters south of the Main Zone, returned 2.8% antimony over 8.1 meters.

The final hole from the previous 2025 campaign also delivered a standout result: hole BH-25-34 returned 9.76% antimony over 3.15 meters, extending the Main Zone both northward and at depth.

Permitting work is moving in parallel. Since April 6, GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists has been developing a regulatory roadmap for Bald Hill. Initial discussions with the New Brunswick provincial government have already taken place, and baseline environmental studies are set to begin this spring. The company is also in talks with local stakeholders, including the Department of Indigenous Affairs, and is still determining with regulators whether a federal environmental review will be required.

The strategic backdrop for antimony remains supportive. Both the United States and the European Union have classified the metal as critical. The price hit an all-time high of $59,750 per tonne on July 4, 2025 — six times the level seen in 2020. It has since eased to $51,800 per tonne, roughly 6% below the start of the year, but still 172% above where it stood at the beginning of 2024.

Once SRK delivers the maiden resource estimate, Bald Hill will for the first time have a formally verified mineral inventory. Until then, the project's value remains a matter of expectation — not measurement.
