The coming weeks are set to be transformative for Antimony Resources as the explorer advances its flagship Bald Hill project in New Brunswick on two critical fronts. The company is simultaneously closing in on its first official resource estimate while actively mapping a path through the regulatory landscape, aiming to transition from explorer to producer.

A Resource Estimate Takes Shape

All eyes are on the imminent completion of a 10,000-meter drill program, which is scheduled to wrap up by the end of April 2026. To date, 6,500 meters have been completed, with two rigs focused on expanding the Main Zone both to the east and west. Results have been highly encouraging, with high-grade stibnite mineralization intercepted in 75 to 80 percent of the drill holes.

These results form the core data for the upcoming maiden Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) under the Canadian NI 43-101 standard, being prepared by SRK Consulting. The formal submission of this report is expected by late April or early May. While historical estimates have pointed to a resource of 69,990 to 123,710 tonnes of antimony, the certified MRE will provide the market with a precise, audited picture of the deposit's scale. The Bald Hill project encompasses a deposit stretching over 700 meters in length and 350 meters deep, with a conceptual target of approximately 2.7 million tonnes grading 3 to 4 percent antimony.

Proactive Permitting Strategy Underway

In a move to accelerate development, management is not waiting for the final drill results to initiate the permitting process. In April 2026, the company engaged Fredericton-based environmental and permitting consultancy GEMTEC Consulting Engineers and Scientists to develop a comprehensive "Roadmap to Permitting."

Should investors sell immediately? Or is it worth buying Antimony Resources?

GEMTEC is crafting a detailed regulatory plan that outlines legislation, responsible authorities, and permitting timelines. The initial phase involves preparing a preliminary environmental impact assessment. CEO Jim Atkinson emphasized that early engagement with provincial regulators and First Nations communities is intended to streamline the process and prevent future delays; initial discussions with the New Brunswick government have already commenced. Whether a federal-level review will be required remains under discussion.

Favorable Market Fundamentals Provide Tailwind

The project's advancement is bolstered by robust commodity fundamentals. Antimony is classified as a critical mineral in the United States, the European Union, and China, essential for batteries, alloys, and defense applications. Although prices have corrected by 36 percent from a record high of $59,750 per tonne reached on July 4, 2025, they remain structurally strong. Current prices around $51.80 per kilogram are still more than 171 percent above levels seen at the start of 2024.

China's export restrictions and ongoing trade tensions have reshaped global supply chains, fueling demand for alternative sources like Bald Hill. In an analysis published in April 2026, investment bank GBC AG highlighted New Brunswick's mining-friendly jurisdiction as a key advantage, issuing a Buy recommendation with a price target of CAD 3.00 for Antimony Resources shares. The stock last traded at CAD 1.33, above its 50-day exponential moving average of CAD 1.09.

Antimony Resources at a turning point? This analysis reveals what investors need to know now.

With the MRE submission and a clear regulatory blueprint expected within weeks, Antimony Resources is poised to deliver the certified data and strategic clarity needed for a potential market re-rating.
