Antimony Resources Advances Key Drilling Campaign at Bald Hill
11.03.2026 - 04:55:57 | boerse-global.deAntimony Resources has provided a significant operational update, with CEO Jim Atkinson delivering detailed commentary at the PDAC 2026 conference. The focus remains squarely on the company's ongoing definition drilling program at its Bald Hill project in New Brunswick, where specific expectations for an upcoming mineral resource classification were outlined.
Strategic Importance and Supply Context
The project is positioned against a backdrop of structural supply constraints for antimony. Following export restrictions implemented by China and Russia in 2024, North American supply chains have faced considerable pressure. Antimony Resources aims to establish a domestic source for the metal, which is critical for various industrial applications, specialized electronics, and military technology. The Bald Hill site offers logistical advantages, situated approximately 90 kilometers from a deep-water port and 40 to 50 kilometers from the Point Lepreau nuclear generating station.
High-Grade Core Samples and Projections
The company is actively progressing a 10,000-meter definition drilling campaign at Bald Hill. Visible mineralizations have been extracted from the drill cores, including intervals of up to one meter of pure stibnite—the primary sulfide mineral containing antimony. While pure stibnite can theoretically hold up to 60% antimony, multiple zones within the cores have shown grades between 30% and 40%.
Accounting for these high-grade intercepts, the company projects an average antimony content for the overall project ranging from 3% to 4%. Confirmation of this grade could position Bald Hill among the highest-grade antimony deposits currently under development in North America.

Regulatory Clarification and Next Steps
This operational update follows a regulatory clarification issued on March 2, 2026. In response to an inquiry from the British Columbia Securities Commission, the company confirmed that its technical report from November 2025 did not yet contain a NI 43-101 compliant mineral resource estimate. The current drilling initiative is explicitly designed to gather the necessary geological data required for this formal classification.
The final assay results from the drilling program are anticipated in May 2026. Subsequently, independent geologists will evaluate the data to determine if it provides a sufficient foundation for an initial mineral resource estimate. The success of the entire program in yielding the data needed for a NI 43-101 resource hinges on these forthcoming assay results.
