American Tungsten is aggressively advancing its strategy to develop tungsten resources in North America, underpinned by a significant new capital raise and a strategic investment in an Australian firm. Management has laid a financial foundation for the coming years, with a core focus on revitalizing a historical mining operation in Idaho, USA.

Shareholders Back Strategic Moves

Investors responded favorably to the company's announcements on Wednesday. The stock climbed 7.10%, reaching a price of €1.66. Despite this recent uptick, the share price remains approximately 37% below its 52-week high recorded in October 2025. A technical analysis shows the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at a level of 17.9, indicating the equity is in technically oversold territory.

The coming months will be defined by operational execution in Idaho. With secured funding now in place, the next phases of exploration and development at the key project are immediately financed.

Major Financing for Core Idaho Project

The company successfully closed a private placement, generating gross proceeds of approximately 40 million Canadian dollars. A consortium led by Stifel Canada orchestrated the transaction. These funds are primarily earmarked for further development of the IMA mine project. This asset is a former producing underground mine that American Tungsten aims to return to commercial production.

The capital injection also serves to bolster general corporate liquidity and fund ongoing business operations. A central corporate objective is to reduce North America's dependency on imports for tungsten and magnetite. The IMA mine in Idaho is considered the portfolio's most important asset.

Parallel Investment in Viking Mines

Concurrently with its own financing, American Tungsten completed a minority stake acquisition in Viking Mines Limited. The company subscribed for 150 million ordinary shares in the Australian mining entity for a total of 750,000 Australian dollars. This move followed approval from Viking Mines' shareholders and forms part of a broader financing initiative undertaken by the Australian company.

This dual strategy of securing substantial capital for its flagship project while taking a strategic position in a peer represents a concerted effort by American Tungsten to strengthen its market position and operational footprint.
