Adidas Takes on Industrial Safety with New PRO WORK Footwear Line, Launching August 2026

The sportswear giant is stepping outside its traditional turf. Adidas will release its first-ever line of protective footwear in August 2026, targeting a market that blends workplace compliance with brand-conscious consumers.
Called ADIDAS PRO WORK, the collection marks the company’s official entry into personal protective equipment (PPE). In a departure from classic steel-toed designs, the shoes fuse Adidas’s athletic aesthetics with certified safety technology. The result aims to close what the brand sees as a persistent gap between utilitarian protective gear and modern, sporty footwear.
To get the safety engineering right, Adidas partnered with GLO Brands B.V., a specialist that brings technical know-how in protection standards. The collaboration is built around more than just looks: the lineup includes dedicated women’s models — two specific designs tailored to female anatomies, a feature often overlooked in the sector.
The collection is pitched at the modern workplace, whether on a factory floor, in logistics, or at a construction site. Adidas hopes the move will appeal to both individual tradespeople and companies that want branded workwear for their teams.
High-visibility boots are one part of workplace safety, but compliance goes beyond the gear you wear. Many UK employers risk fines by missing the paperwork that proves they meet health and safety regulations. The free Health & Safety Toolkit from Health & Safety Adviser offers ready-to-use risk assessments, checklists, and toolbox talks aligned with the Health & Safety at Work Act 1974 and other key standards. Pricing will land in the mid-range segment, with recommended retail prices between €100 and €150. Distribution runs through selected specialist retailers across Europe starting in August 2026. The launch extends Adidas’s portfolio far beyond its core sport and lifestyle categories. By moving into workplace safety, the brand is betting that recognition and comfort can matter as much as a hard hat when it comes to protecting workers on the job.
