Yunnan Baiyao reported steady business growth through the first nine months of 2026, while quarterly profitability weakened. In a report published on October 30, Huatai Securities said revenue reached CNY 32.26 billion, net profit attributable to shareholders CNY 4.82 billion and non-GAAP net profit CNY 4.63 billion for the period, up 5.2 percent, 0.9 percent and 1.8 percent year over year, respectively.

Revenue Growth Meets Margin Pressure

Third-quarter revenue rose 10.4 percent year over year to CNY 10.37 billion. Attributable net profit fell 2.0 percent to CNY 1.12 billion, while non-GAAP net profit increased 2.2 percent to CNY 1.11 billion. The figures point to continued top-line momentum but less favorable quarterly earnings conversion.

Huatai Securities said the pharmaceutical business continued to expand, while health products remained stable. It also expected traditional Chinese medicine resource revenue from overseas markets to face pressure from lower raw-material prices. Sales, general and administrative expense ratios improved in the first nine months, while research and development spending increased 24 percent to CNY 340 million.

Analyst Keeps Add Rating

Huatai Securities maintained its Add rating and lowered its target price to CNY 70.50 from CNY 74.45. The brokerage forecast attributable net profit of CNY 5.53 billion for 2026, CNY 5.99 billion for 2027 and CNY 6.41 billion for 2028. Its assessment also highlighted ongoing development of traditional Chinese medicine products, chemical drugs, biologics and radiopharmaceutical programs.

For investors, the results frame Yunnan Baiyao as a diversified healthcare company balancing resilient revenue with near-term pressure on quarterly earnings. The mix of established consumer and pharmaceutical products with longer-cycle research projects leaves execution in core businesses and new product development as the main operating focus.
