Voltas stock reports 51.4 percent profit growth as costs rise
Published on 10/07/2026 at 03:16 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSVoltas (ISIN INE226A01021) was last at INR 1,067.90 on the NSE on October 6, 2026, up 0.62 percent from the previous close. The latest reported Q1 FY27 figures showed net profit of INR 212.8 crore, an increase of 51.4 percent year over year, according to AlfaFinder.
Q1 profit growth meets margin pressure
For the quarter ended June 30, 2026, Voltas reported revenue from operations of INR 4,674 crore, up 18.7 percent year over year, while consolidated net profit reached INR 212.8 crore. The result gives the stock a stronger earnings base than the previous fiscal year, when full-year net income fell 55 percent to INR 375.88 crore, as reported by AlfaFinder.
The operating picture remains uneven. Room air conditioner volumes grew 45 percent in Q1 FY27, and Voltas' secondary market share reached 17.3 percent, but input-cost inflation and currency pressure remain important constraints for margins, according to AlfaFinder. That mix makes absolute profit growth more important than a simple revenue-growth reading.
Broker targets split after analyst meet
The September 22 analyst meeting produced a constructive but divided broker view. Moneycontrol reported on September 23, 2026, that HSBC retained a Buy rating with a target of INR 1,450 and Jefferies retained Buy with a target of INR 1,495.
Motilal Oswal took a more cautious position, maintaining a Neutral rating with a target of INR 1,170, the same Moneycontrol report said. The disagreement centers on whether market-share gains can offset higher commodity costs and a weaker rupee.
NSE stock stays near yearly low
Voltas traded between INR 1,048.60 and INR 1,073.40 on October 6, 2026, with volume of 2,705,325 shares. Its INR 1,067.90 price stood 32.52 percent below the 52-week high of INR 1,582.50 and only INR 27.30 above the 52-week low of INR 1,040.60.
Market capitalization was INR 353.4 billion as of October 6, 2026. For investors, the key test is whether the 51.4 percent Q1 profit increase can continue while the company protects its cooling-market share against cost inflation.
