The facility will provide TPBank with additional medium- and long-term US dollar funding and broaden its international funding sources. The bank plans to direct 60 percent, or USD 30 million, to eligible green projects, emissions reduction and the energy transition.
Green Credit And SME Support
The remaining 40 percent, or USD 20 million, is intended for small and medium-sized businesses, with particular attention to women-owned and women-led companies. The allocation gives TPBank another funding channel for lending linked to sustainable development and business finance in Vietnam.
DEG will also provide technical assistance to strengthen TPBank's environmental and social risk-management system. The work will cover policy standards, risk classification tools, lending assessment and monitoring procedures, as well as staff training.
