TMBThanachart Bank said on October 26, 2026, that it will launch a fifth share repurchase program with a budget of approximately THB 14 billion. The announcement, carried by RYT9, sets the general-offer period for November 16 to 27, 2026.

Capital Plan Moves Forward

The transaction is the fifth stage of ttb's four-year, THB 35 billion share repurchase project covering 2025 to 2028. The bank said four earlier programs bought back about THB 21 billion of shares, or 10.038 billion shares representing 10.29 percent of issued and paid-up shares.

Treasury shares do not receive dividends, according to the company. Ttb said the reduction in eligible shares supported an interim dividend of THB 0.081 per share for the first half of 2026, which was 23 percent above the first-half 2025 payment. The bank also said its payout ratio rose to 65 percent from 60 percent.

The final repurchase price was scheduled for announcement on October 26, while the preliminary range was THB 2.49 to THB 2.63 per share. Ttb said the general-offer structure should limit disruption to normal secondary-market trading and shorten execution to 10 business days compared with six months under automatic order matching.

Financial Position Remains Key

Ttb expects its capital adequacy ratio to remain above 19 percent after the repurchase, compared with the Bank of Thailand's stated minimum regulatory requirement of 12 percent. For investors, the program keeps capital allocation and the effect of a smaller share base at the center of the bank's near-term equity story.
