Sterling Infrastructure reported record third-quarter results on October 28, 2026, and lifted its full-year outlook. According to the company’s financial release, revenue reached 1.56 billion US dollars in the quarter ended September 30, up 127 percent from the prior-year period. Net income attributable to common stockholders rose to 214.9 million US dollars, while diluted earnings per share increased to 6.92 US dollars.
Adjusted net income came to 235.4 million US dollars, or 7.58 US dollars per diluted share. Adjusted EBITDA increased to 337.8 million US dollars. Sterling said each of its reported third-quarter consolidated metrics represented a new record.
Infrastructure demand drives expansion
E-Infrastructure Solutions remained the central growth engine, with quarterly revenue of 1.30 billion US dollars, up 212 percent year over year. The segment includes large-scale site development and electrical services for data centers, semiconductor facilities, manufacturing sites, distribution centers and other critical infrastructure.
Sterling’s combined backlog stood at 6.14 billion US dollars at September 30, including unsigned awards. The company said signed backlog, unsigned awards and projects in design represented nearly 8 billion US dollars of scoped work. The release also said mission-critical projects accounted for approximately 95 percent of the opportunity within E-Infrastructure.
Full-year outlook moves higher
Sterling raised its 2026 revenue guidance to 4.63 billion to 4.73 billion US dollars. The company now expects net income of 596 million to 604 million US dollars, diluted earnings per share of 19.16 to 19.42 US dollars and EBITDA of 905 million to 916 million US dollars. Adjusted diluted earnings per share guidance is 21.70 to 21.96 US dollars.
Transportation Solutions revenue declined 3 percent as the company redirected resources toward E-Infrastructure work, although adjusted operating income increased 22 percent. Building Solutions revenue fell 5 percent, and Sterling expects housing affordability to continue weighing on that market through 2026.
