Siemens stock reports higher revenue despite margin pressure
Published on 09/29/2026 at 16:12 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSSiemens stock (ISIN INE003A01024) generated Q1 FY2026 revenue of INR 4,714 crore, up 2.1 percent from the preceding quarter. The figures show continued demand in Smart Infrastructure and Mobility, but profitability remains the central issue for the Indian-listed Siemens business, according to Stockfin on September 29, 2026.
Revenue grows while margins narrow
Operating margin declined to 7.5 percent in Q1 FY2026 from 8.0 percent in the previous quarter. Operating profit also slipped to INR 353 crore from INR 370 crore, creating a clear contrast with the 2.1 percent revenue increase.
The comparison matters because the quarter's headline earnings included a one-time INR 2,099 crore gain linked to the sale of the Low Voltage Motors business. Stockfin reported net profit of INR 2,143 crore for the quarter, making the profit figure less representative of recurring operating performance.
Portfolio changes shape the outlook
At its 68th annual general meeting on August 11, 2026, Siemens shareholders approved an INR 18 per share dividend and the demerger of the Energy business, according to Stockfin. The board also approved transactions with Siemens AG of up to INR 85,000 million for fiscal 2026-27.
The strategic reset gives investors two separate measures of progress: execution of the demerger and recovery in the core operating margin. A higher revenue base will need to translate into stronger operating profit before the one-time gain drops out of comparisons.
November results provide the next test
Siemens is scheduled to publish its next earnings report on November 10, 2026, according to Investing.com. That report should clarify whether the 7.5 percent operating margin was a temporary trough or an early sign of sustained pressure in the streamlined portfolio.
