- Shoe Station Group shifted recruitment administration away from store managers and onto Fountain and Cue.
- The retailer said the change gives managers more time to focus on customers and store operations.
- The omnichannel footwear group operates the Shoe Station and Shoe Carnival banners across the United States and Puerto Rico.
Shoe Station Group said on October 15 that it had moved recruitment administration for more than 420 stores onto Fountain, with Cue by Fountain supporting reporting and pipeline analysis. Yahoo Finance carried the Business Wire release.
The retailer said the new process automates requisition openings, interview scheduling, candidate communication and offer-letter administration. Store managers still meet candidates and make hiring decisions, while the software handles much of the administrative work.
Faster hiring supports store operations
Shoe Station Group said its time to hire fell from about 14 days to six after the change. Applicant drop-off also declined from roughly 60 percent to 35 percent, according to the company.
The shift is intended to return managers to the sales floor and reduce time spent on phone calls, scheduling and paperwork. The company also uses Cue to consolidate recruitment information that previously required several separate reports.
Retail footprint remains nationwide
Shoe Station Group's investor relations site describes the company as an omnichannel family footwear retailer selling athletic, everyday, work and occasion footwear through the Shoe Station and Shoe Carnival banners and their online platforms. The group is headquartered in Fort Mill, South Carolina, and operates stores across the United States and Puerto Rico.
