SCB X Public Company Limited reported net profit of THB 10,677 million for the third quarter of 2026, down 4.0 percent from the previous quarter. The result was reported in Bangkok on October 21 and published by SCBX.

Profit Holds Up Despite Bond Losses

SCBX attributed the quarterly decline primarily to mark-to-market losses on debt-security investments as bond yields rose. Investment and trading income swung to a loss of THB 424 million from a gain of THB 2,552 million in the previous quarter.

For the first nine months of 2026, the group recorded net profit of THB 31,989 million, down 14.3 percent from the same period a year earlier. The figures highlight the sensitivity of consolidated earnings to financial-market movements alongside the performance of its banking and consumer-finance businesses.

Core Income and Costs

Net interest income increased 0.5 percent from the previous quarter to THB 27,452 million, while net interest margin improved to 3.07 percent. Loans grew 2.4 percent from the end of 2025, led by large corporate lending and digital lending.

Fee and other income reached THB 11,498 million, up 6.2 percent year on year, with wealth management identified as a key growth driver. Operating expenses fell 4.0 percent from the previous quarter and 6.3 percent year on year to THB 16,363 million, reflecting the use of artificial intelligence and automation across group operations.

Asset Quality and Leadership

SCBX said asset quality continued to improve through debt management, restructuring, selective non-performing-loan sales and write-offs. The group non-performing-loan ratio edged up to 3.21 percent, mainly because of a planned portfolio adjustment at AutoX, while provisions declined 13.8 percent from the previous quarter.

Chief Executive Officer Arthid Nanthawithaya said Dr. Arak Sutivong will take over as SCBX chief executive on January 1, 2027. The company said preparations are intended to preserve continuity in its strategic direction.
