Sayona Mining, now Elevra Lithium, reported profit after tax of USD 44.00 million for fiscal 2026, and Sayona Mining stock entered the Elevra era after the August 2025 merger. Yahoo Finance published the earnings call transcript on August 28, 2026, while Investing.com identifies the company as formerly Sayona Mining and now Elevra Lithium.
Revenue rose as pricing improved
Revenue reached USD 202.00 million in fiscal 2026, up 39.00 percent from fiscal 2025. The comparison is important because sales volumes fell: spodumene concentrate sales declined 13.00 percent to 181,000 dry metric tons, while average realized pricing increased 57.00 percent to USD 1,092.00 per ton, according to Yahoo Finance.
Underlying EBITDA turned positive at USD 14.00 million in fiscal 2026 from a USD 43.00 million loss in the prior period. Profit after tax improved by USD 292.00 million year over year, although the result included a USD 156.00 million reversal of the North American Lithium impairment and USD 104.00 million of non-cash merger-related accounting items.
Expansion targets 373,000 tons
The North American Lithium expansion is the central operating issue for fiscal 2027. A pre-feasibility study published in September 2026 outlines a three-stage plan that lifts annual spodumene concentrate capacity from 199,000 tons to 373,000 tons, with stage one scheduled for mid-2027 and stage three for mid-2029, as Yahoo Finance reports.
Fiscal 2027 production guidance is 198,000 to 210,000 tons, while sales guidance is 200,000 to 230,000 tons. Capital expenditure is guided at USD 120.00 million to USD 140.00 million, compared with USD 24.00 million in fiscal 2026, making execution and funding discipline the key measures for the next phase.
Scale comes with higher spending
The expansion study assigns the project initial capital expenditure of CAD 366.00 million, or USD 271.00 million, and assumes a mine life of 20 years. Its production target relies on existing proven and probable reserves of 47.20 million tons, rather than inferred resources, which gives the growth plan a defined resource base.
The company ended fiscal 2026 with USD 255.00 million in cash, up from USD 47.00 million a year earlier. That balance supports the expansion, but the jump in fiscal 2027 capital expenditure means higher production must translate into improved unit economics rather than volume alone.
Market value and operating scale
Elevra Lithium had a market capitalization of USD 1.20 billion on September 3, 2026. Its ASX-listed business is classified in basic materials and remains centered on lithium assets in Quebec, Canada, and Australia.
