- Lower sugar and ethanol prices weighed on São Martinho's first-quarter performance.
- The company postponed part of its ethanol sales, while the next earnings release is scheduled for November 9.
São Martinho's profit fell in the first quarter of the 2026/27 harvest, according to an El Fondo report published October 9, 2026. Net income reached BRL 38.1 million, down 39.3% from the same period of the previous cycle.
Lower prices weigh on earnings
Net revenue declined 17.7% to BRL 1.53 billion. El Fondo attributed the drop to lower sugar and ethanol prices and to the company's decision to postpone part of its ethanol sales to later periods.
