Samsung Electro-Mechanics reported record third-quarter results on October 28, with artificial-intelligence infrastructure driving demand for multilayer ceramic capacitors and semiconductor package substrates. The company said its Q3 2026 business-results release showed strong growth across its main operating units.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics stock traded at KRW 1,196,000 on the Korea Exchange at 07:30 CET on Friday, October 30, 2026. The quote was the latest available before the weekend, while the company had not supplied a new earnings-date trading outlook in the release.

Record quarter led by AI components

Consolidated sales reached KRW 3,763.3 billion, up 30% from a year earlier, while operating profit rose 165% to KRW 691.0 billion. Both figures were quarterly records, according to the company.

The Component Solution unit generated KRW 1,883.0 billion in sales, a 36% year-on-year increase. Growth was led by multilayer ceramic capacitors for servers, networks and power systems used in AI data centers. The Package Solution unit posted sales of KRW 939.0 billion, up 58%, supported by high-value products for server CPUs, AI accelerators and networking equipment.

Management expects demand for high-end AI data-center components to remain strong in the fourth quarter. The company plans to expand supplies of high-capacitance and high-voltage capacitors, develop new high-value FCBGA products and add production capacity in line with customer demand.

Optics adds a second growth engine

The Optical Solution unit recorded sales of KRW 941.3 billion, up 3% year on year. New 200-megapixel folded-zoom camera modules, higher shipments for foldable phones and camera modules for next-generation electric-vehicle platforms supported the improvement.

The combination gives Samsung Electro-Mechanics exposure to AI servers, automotive electronics, mobile devices and networking equipment. Investors will focus next on whether long-term supply agreements and additional capacity convert the current demand surge into sustained earnings growth.

Samsung Electro-Mechanics is a South Korean electronic-components manufacturer with Component, Package Solution and Optical Solution businesses. Its products include multilayer ceramic capacitors, power components, camera modules and semiconductor package substrates for global technology and automotive markets. In passive components it competes with Murata Manufacturing and TDK, while Ibiden is a key rival in high-end package substrates; Samsung Electro-Mechanics has a broader portfolio spanning components, substrates and optics.
