- Revenue from operations rose 13.2 percent year over year in the September quarter.
- Underlying profit before tax and exceptional items increased 13.9 percent.
- The Minipress XL payment boosted reported earnings but is not recurring operating income.
Pfizer Limited reported stronger quarterly sales in India on Tuesday, November 3, 2026, while a one-time payment linked to Minipress XL significantly lifted reported profit. According to Kotak Neo, revenue from operations reached 726.86 crore Indian rupees in the September quarter, up 13.2 percent from a year earlier.
One-off gain drives reported profit
Net profit rose 65.7 percent to 313.25 crore Indian rupees. The result included an exceptional gain of 132.06 crore rupees after Pfizer Inc. decided to discontinue manufacturing Minipress XL in the United States from September 7, 2026. Pfizer Limited is to receive a lump-sum payment connected with the end of its marketing, distribution and sale of the medicine in India.
The underlying picture was firmer but less dramatic. Profit before tax and exceptional items increased 13.9 percent to 290.77 crore rupees, while earnings per share before the exceptional item rose to 47.09 rupees from 41.32 rupees in the year-earlier quarter. The distinction matters for investors because the payment raises the reported result without creating a recurring earnings stream.
First-half growth remains positive
For the six months ended September 2026, revenue from operations increased 10.8 percent to 1,380.03 crore rupees. Profit before exceptional items and tax grew 10.2 percent to 567.45 crore rupees, while reported net profit reached 517.72 crore rupees after including the September-quarter gain.
Operating cash generation for the first half was 358.99 crore rupees, down from 599.47 crore rupees a year earlier. Pfizer Limited also paid its final dividend of 75 rupees per share for fiscal 2026 on August 4, 2026, after shareholder approval.
