Industry Applications leads growth
Industry Applications was the strongest business unit in the quarter. Currency-adjusted sales rose 11.3 percent, while reported sales reached 70.2 million euros. Mobility & New Energy grew 0.9 percent on a currency-adjusted basis to reported sales of 137.6 million euros, as weaker demand in Asia-Pacific offset gains in the Americas and EMEA.
The Americas delivered the strongest regional performance, with currency-adjusted sales up 13.0 percent and reported sales of 76.1 million euros. Its adjusted EBIT margin improved to 8.4 percent. Asia-Pacific remained a pressure point, with currency-adjusted sales down 9.0 percent, mainly because of weaker automotive demand in China.
Transformation supports earnings
NewNORMA cost measures helped offset a lower adjusted gross margin caused by a higher materials ratio. The company said the transformation program contributed to cost structure improvements, while new orders in industrial applications and vehicle cooling systems broadened its growth opportunities.
NORMA Group also confirmed its 2026 forecast. Management continues to expect currency-adjusted group sales growth of 0 to 2 percent, an adjusted EBIT margin of 2 to 4 percent and net operating cash flow of 10 million to 20 million euros. Tobias Bichler is scheduled to become chief financial officer no later than April 1, 2027.
