- Third-quarter sales grew year over year, while adjusted EBITDA increased at a faster rate.
- NN reported a GAAP net loss but positive adjusted net income for the period.
- Management raised its full-year sales, adjusted EBITDA and new-business awards outlook.
NN, Inc. reported stronger third-quarter operating performance on October 28, 2026, and raised its full-year outlook. In a company release published through GlobeNewswire, NN said the figures covered the quarter ended September 30, 2026.
Growth reached both major segments
Third-quarter net sales rose to USD 131.1 million from USD 103.9 million a year earlier. The company attributed the increase to higher selling prices, higher volumes and favorable foreign-exchange effects.
Power Solutions sales increased to USD 63.2 million, up 40.6 percent year over year. Mobile Solutions sales reached USD 68.2 million, an increase of 15.3 percent, although the segment recorded a larger operating loss as new-program start-up and facility costs weighed on GAAP results.
Adjusted earnings improved materially
NN reported a GAAP net loss of USD 4.6 million, compared with a loss of USD 6.7 million in the prior-year quarter. The company also reported a USD 3.3 million operating loss, which was wider than the prior-year loss.
On an adjusted basis, EBITDA increased to USD 18.5 million from USD 12.4 million, while adjusted net income reached USD 5.3 million, or USD 0.07 per diluted share. The release identifies higher income from the company's joint venture in China, improved sales mix and operating performance among the drivers. The adjusted figures are non-GAAP measures and should be considered alongside the corresponding GAAP results.
Higher targets for the full year
NN now expects 2026 net sales of USD 480 million to USD 500 million and adjusted EBITDA of USD 64 million to USD 68 million. The company also raised its new-business awards outlook to USD 110 million to USD 130 million.
Management said the company had completed a multi-step balance-sheet transformation involving the payoff of preferred stock and an equity raise. It also highlighted opportunities in data centers, defense and medical applications, while noting that remaining balance-sheet work involves its asset-based lending facility and term loan.
