- Consolidated loan assets under management reached Rs 2,09,317 crore in the first half of FY27.
- Gold loans remained the core growth driver, while the company raised its FY27 gold-loan growth guidance.
Muthoot Finance reported stronger first-half results on October 31, 2026, with consolidated profit after tax rising 39 percent year over year to Rs 6,103 crore for the six months ended September 30. The figures were reported by FinTech BizNews.
Gold lending leads expansion
Consolidated loan assets under management increased 42 percent from a year earlier to Rs 2,09,317 crore. Consolidated gold-loan assets grew 46 percent to Rs 1,93,212 crore, while the standalone loan book also expanded 42 percent to Rs 1,87,810 crore.
Standalone profit after tax rose 26 percent to Rs 5,527 crore. The company said it added 201 branches during the quarter and raised its FY27 gold-loan growth guidance by an additional 10 percent.
Credit costs remain relevant
The growth comes as India's gold-loan market attracts new entrants and demand remains strong. Investors will therefore continue to weigh loan expansion against funding costs, credit quality and the effect of updated Reserve Bank of India lending guidelines, which took effect on April 1, 2026.
Muthoot Finance provides gold-backed personal and business loans, alongside housing finance, money transfers, foreign exchange and other financial products. The company serves customers across India through a broad branch network and is headquartered in Kochi.
