- International revenue expanded faster than domestic sales during the first nine months of 2026.
- In-vitro diagnostics and emerging businesses outperformed medical imaging and life-support operations.
- Analysts expect domestic demand to improve gradually as procurement conditions stabilize.
Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics reported mixed third-quarter results on Thursday, October 29, 2026. According to a Guojin Securities analysis carried by Futu, revenue for the first nine months rose 4.89 percent to 27.097 billion CNY, while net profit attributable to shareholders fell 5.10 percent to 7.184 billion CNY.
The third quarter alone brought revenue of 9.35 billion CNY, an increase of 2.85 percent. Net profit attributable to shareholders declined 4.55 percent to 2.39 billion CNY. The report said exchange-rate effects weighed on the reported comparison, while revenue would have increased 5.95 percent on a neutral-currency basis.
International markets lead expansion
Mindray's international business generated 14.36 billion CNY in revenue during the first nine months, up 11.04 percent year over year, or 16.02 percent in US dollar terms. Europe grew by nearly 20 percent, Latin America by close to 18 percent and Asia-Pacific by 14 percent, according to the report.
Domestic revenue declined 1.28 percent to 12.73 billion CNY. Guojin Securities expects local sales to turn positive in 2026 and return to faster growth from 2027, although medical-device procurement remains constrained by healthcare budget pressure and lower prices in in-vitro diagnostics.
Diagnostics offsets imaging weakness
In-vitro diagnostics revenue rose 7.79 percent to 10.587 billion CNY, with international IVD revenue increasing by more than 20 percent and international immunoassay revenue growing by more than 30 percent. Emerging businesses generated 4.735 billion CNY, up 20.52 percent, supported by minimally invasive surgery and intervention products.
Medical imaging revenue fell 6.18 percent to 4.30 billion CNY, while the Life Information and Support segment slipped 1.27 percent to 7.325 billion CNY. The mix underlines the importance of Mindray's international expansion and newer product categories as established businesses face uneven demand.
Business model and competition
Mindray develops and supplies medical equipment and connected healthcare solutions across patient monitoring, ultrasound, in-vitro diagnostics, anesthesia, ventilation, surgery and hospital technology. The company is headquartered in Shenzhen and serves hospitals and healthcare providers in international markets, with its portfolio spanning both instruments and related clinical workflows. It competes with broader global medtech groups such as Medtronic, GE HealthCare and Siemens Healthineers, while Mindray remains a China-based challenger with a growing international presence and particular exposure to monitoring, diagnostics and imaging.
