- Megaport raised FY27 revenue guidance to between 720 million and 810 million Australian dollars after signing three AI infrastructure contracts.
- Broker targets of 26 and 27 Australian dollars point to continued optimism, while higher capital spending raises execution risk.
Megaport's AI infrastructure expansion continues to shape the investment case. In an article published Thursday, October 29, 2026, The Motley Fool Australia reported that Morgans held a 27 Australian dollar price target and Bell Potter a 26 Australian dollar target for the company. The article linked the broker optimism to Megaport's new AI infrastructure contracts and upgraded outlook.
Broker optimism meets higher spending
Megaport announced three AI infrastructure contracts in September with a combined contract value of about 978.6 million Australian dollars. Management subsequently lifted FY27 revenue guidance to 720 million to 810 million Australian dollars from 620 million to 730 million Australian dollars and raised expected EBITDA margin guidance to 42% to 44% from 38% to 40%.
The expansion comes with a materially larger investment requirement. FY27 capital expenditure guidance rose to 1.78 billion to 1.88 billion Australian dollars from 1.28 billion to 1.38 billion Australian dollars. For investors, the central question is whether the new contracts can convert into recurring revenue and cash generation as the infrastructure is deployed.
AI demand drives the next phase
The broker targets reflect expectations that demand for computing power, networking and storage will continue to grow as businesses build AI applications. Bell Potter estimates that Megaport's GPU pool could eventually produce about 200 million Australian dollars in annual underlying EBITDA when fully utilised, according to the Motley Fool analysis.
That potential remains dependent on contract execution, customer demand and returns on the expanded infrastructure base. The higher capital commitment also leaves the shares more exposed to delays or weaker AI investment conditions.
Megaport's connectivity platform
Megaport operates a software-defined connectivity platform linking businesses with data centres, cloud providers and other network services.
