- PF Saúde added Mater Dei facilities in Belo Horizonte, Betim/Contagem and Nova Lima to its direct network.
- The company is scheduled to publish its third-quarter 2026 earnings release on November 9.
- Safra expects Mater Dei to outperform several healthcare peers operationally in the third quarter.
Rede Mater Dei signed an agreement with Brazil's Federal Police on October 27, and four hospitals began serving PF Saúde beneficiaries in Minas Gerais on November 1. The Polícia Federal announced the agreement on October 29, saying the arrangement expands access to consultations, admissions and medium- and high-complexity procedures.
The participating facilities are Mater Dei Santo Agostinho and Mater Dei Contorno in Belo Horizonte, Mater Dei Betim-Contagem and Mater Dei Nova Lima. Unicooper, a medical cooperative representing much of the hospitals' clinical staff, was also included in the network.
New access supports local expansion
The agreement broadens Mater Dei's exposure to beneficiaries of a public-sector health program in its home state. The Polícia Federal said additional units may be included gradually, which could expand the arrangement beyond the initial group of hospitals.
The development comes ahead of the company's third-quarter earnings release, scheduled for November 9, according to Rede Mater Dei's investor-relations site. The earnings presentation is scheduled for November 10.
Analysts watch operating execution
In an October 19 preview, Safra said Mater Dei and Fleury were expected to post stronger third-quarter performances, while Rede D'Or and Bradesco Saúde were seen as more stable and Hapvida remained under operational pressure. Safra projected Mater Dei revenue growth above 10 percent, supported by higher occupancy and a higher average ticket.
Business model and competition
Rede Mater Dei operates a hospital network founded in Belo Horizonte, with facilities across Minas Gerais, Bahia and Goiás and a newer presence in São Paulo. Revista Viver Brasil reported that the group had 10 hospitals, 3,900 employees and 13,000 registered physicians on October 30. Safra places Mater Dei alongside Fleury, Rede D'Or and Hapvida in Brazil's listed healthcare sector, with Mater Dei and Fleury expected to show stronger operating momentum than the other named peers in the third quarter.
