LX International received South Korea's Health and Welfare Minister Award in the childbirth and childrearing support category at the 2026 Family-Friendly Companies Awards on October 27. The Asia Business Daily reported that the recognition followed an assessment of 300 domestic companies.
Support Programs Drive Recognition
The evaluation credited LX International with support spanning pregnancy, childbirth and childrearing, as well as efforts to build a family-friendly workplace culture. The company offers reduced working hours during pregnancy, fertility-treatment leave, paternity leave and childbirth payments.
Its broader benefits include parental leave, reduced working hours for childcare, family-care leave, an on-site daycare center and tuition assistance. The company also reported rising use of flexible work arrangements over the past three years, while employees returning from parental leave and remaining with the company have become more established.
LX International has maintained its Family-Friendly Company certification for a fifth consecutive year after first receiving it from South Korea's Ministry of Gender Equality and Family in 2021. Lee Youngju, chief human resources officer and a director, said the company would focus on making its family-friendly culture practical for employees.
