- LS Electric will supply 38-kilovolt switchgear for a hyperscale artificial intelligence data center.
- Deliveries are planned for next year, while the 2028 volume remains subject to consultations with the customer.
LS Electric has secured a contract to supply switchgear for a major U.S. technology company's data center project, according to Yonhap News Agency. The South Korean electrical-equipment maker announced the order on October 19, 2026, adding an artificial-intelligence infrastructure angle to the LS Corp stock story.
Contract covers next year's deliveries
The agreement covers 38-kilovolt switchgear for a hyperscale artificial-intelligence data center. The equipment will be supplied next year, while LS Electric said the volume for 2028 will be determined through consultations with the U.S. customer.
The technology company was not identified. The contract gives LS Electric a foothold in a segment where rising electricity demand from artificial intelligence and cloud computing is driving investment in North American power infrastructure.
Data-center demand supports expansion
LS Electric said the North American data-center power-infrastructure market is projected to grow at an average annual rate of 16 percent, from 13 trillion won in 2025 to 56 trillion won in 2035. The projection highlights the longer-term market opportunity behind the order, although the contract itself covers the currently agreed supply volume.
