Lark Distilling stock faces export drag as Q1 sales fall

- International sales fell as Lark Distilling onboarded a new China distributor and timed replenishment shipments in other Asian markets.
- Domestic sales increased, led by direct-to-consumer activity and hospitality operations.
- The company ended the quarter with cash of 12.9 million and an undrawn 5 million bank facility.
Lark Distilling reported weaker first-quarter trading on October 28, with net sales falling 4.5 percent year on year to 3.5 million for the three months ended September 30, 2026. The figures were published in the company's September quarterly update and Appendix 4C, available through investorpa.
International sales lose momentum
International sales dropped 37.7 percent to 0.6 million. Lark attributed the decline to delays in onboarding a new distributor in China and the timing of replenishment shipments in other Asian markets.
Domestic net sales rose 7.9 percent to 2.9 million. Direct-to-consumer sales increased 16.4 percent to 2.0 million, while business-to-business sales declined 7.5 percent to 0.9 million because of shipment timing involving distribution partner Spirits Platform.
Cash position remains a focus
Customer receipts reached 6.9 million during the quarter. Cash at September 30 stood at 12.9 million, and the company had an undrawn 5 million bank facility available. Cash from operations was negative 1.2 million for the quarter.
The update leaves international execution as the main near-term issue for investors. Domestic demand and direct channels provided support, but the next quarterly report should show whether the China rollout and delayed Asian replenishment shipments begin to lift export sales.
