L&T Technology Services signed a five-year contract with Nokia on Monday, October 26, to support the Finnish telecom equipment maker's engineering and research and development activities in India. Deccan Herald reported that LTTS will establish a dedicated offshore development centre for the engagement.

Five-Year Nokia Partnership

The centre is intended to support Nokia's engineering and R&D initiatives in India. The work spans product engineering, software development, system integration and ongoing product support, linking LTTS teams with Nokia's global technology organisation.

The partnership also covers 5G networks, intelligent automation, AI-driven operations and AI infrastructure. The companies did not disclose a financial value for the contract, leaving the near-term revenue contribution difficult to quantify for investors.

Demand Across Technology Segments

The agreement broadens LTTS's role in telecommunications and next-generation infrastructure while reinforcing its focus on engineering-led services. That positioning could support demand for higher-value development work, although the financial impact will depend on the pace of centre creation, hiring and project ramp-up.

LTTS reported second-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of 30,404 million Indian rupees for the period ended September 30, 2026, according to the company's results release carried by The Wire. Revenue rose 12.1 percent year on year, while EBIT margin reached 16.3 percent. Net income included a one-time gain from the sale of the SWC business.
