The company is preparing a new inkjet printhead for label and packaging applications, with commercial sales planned for November 2026.
New printhead enters production
According to Yahoo Finance, Kyocera announced the KJ4A-EX600RC-HX on October 2, 2026. The circulating inkjet printhead is designed for label and packaging printers that use white ink, varnish and foil decoration.
The product reaches a printing speed of 100 meters per minute and offers 600 dpi resolution. Its maximum droplet volume is 21 pL, which is 23 percent higher than the previous KJ4A-AL model, according to the same Yahoo Finance report.
Printing speed doubles
The KJ4A-EX600RC-HX operates at 40 kHz, compared with 20 kHz for the earlier KJ4A-AL model. That specification supports the stated speed of 100 meters per minute and gives packaging printers more capacity for short-run and variable designs.
Kyocera also expanded the supported ink-viscosity range to 8-11 mPa-s from 6-7 mPa-s in the previous model. The broader range is intended to accommodate more printing applications, while the circulating ink path is designed to stabilize ink flow near the nozzles.
Revenue provides scale
The product launch adds a specialized component to a group whose business spans electronic devices, semiconductor packages, industrial components and printing systems. Kyocera reported consolidated sales revenue of JPY 2.07 trillion for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2026, in the company information carried with the launch announcement.
Kyocera's investor-relations page lists the release of financial results for the second quarter of fiscal 2027 for late October 2026. That report will provide the next broad check on demand across the company's electronics and printing businesses.
Stock remains below yearly high
Kyocera stock was JPY 248 below its 52-week high of JPY 3,916 on October 2, 2026, while the 52-week low was JPY 1,952. Market capitalization was JPY 4.69 trillion on that date, leaving the launch as a product-level development rather than a quantified group earnings revision.
