Kikkoman stock reports 15.00 percent first-quarter revenue growth
Published on 09/30/2026 at 06:04 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSKikkoman (ISIN JP3240400006) reported first-quarter fiscal 2027 revenue of JPY 202.03 billion, up 15.00 percent year over year, while business profit increased 29.30 percent to JPY 25.26 billion. The figures cover the three months ended June 30, 2026, and were released on August 5, 2026.
Overseas sales drive growth
According to Smart Stock Notes, overseas food wholesale revenue rose 18.10 percent to JPY 117.12 billion in Q1 fiscal 2027, and its business profit climbed 46.80 percent to JPY 9.40 billion. Overseas food manufacturing and sales revenue increased 14.80 percent to JPY 48.23 billion, showing that international operations supplied the strongest reported expansion.
The quality of that growth is more mixed after removing currency effects. Smart Stock Notes reported that consolidated revenue growth was 6.00 percent excluding foreign-exchange effects, compared with the headline increase of 15.00 percent, while Kikkoman's Del Monte business revenue declined 4.60 percent to JPY 2.21 billion.
Wisconsin investment adds capacity
Business-News-Today reported that Kikkoman opened a USD 560.00 million production facility in Jefferson, Wisconsin. The 240,000-square-foot site is the company's third US production facility and is designed to make soy sauce, teriyaki sauce and other seasonings for retail, foodservice and industrial customers.
The same report said the wider Wisconsin program totals at least USD 800.00 million and includes an expansion of the existing Walworth operation. That investment gives Kikkoman additional North American capacity, but the financial payoff depends on shipments, utilization and the company's ability to absorb fixed costs as the facility ramps up.
Stock valuation meets execution
Kikkoman's full-year fiscal 2027 forecast calls for revenue of JPY 799.10 billion, up 7.20 percent from fiscal 2026, and business profit of JPY 82.30 billion, up 3.50 percent. The gap between first-quarter revenue growth of 15.00 percent and the full-year revenue forecast of 7.20 percent makes currency normalization and demand progression important checkpoints for the remaining quarters.
On the Tokyo Stock Exchange, Kikkoman was trading at JPY 1,644.00 on September 30, 2026, at 12:48 p.m. JST. The 52-week range was JPY 1,202.00 to JPY 1,867.50, while market capitalization stood at JPY 1.5 trillion on the same date.
