- NH Investment cut its target to KRW 44,000 on October 12, 2026.
- KB Securities set a KRW 50,000 target on October 13, 2026.
- Third-quarter revenue was estimated at KRW 1.20 trillion, with KRW 33.9 billion operating profit excluding TVING compensation costs.
KB Securities cut its target for CJ ENM stock from KRW 60,000 to KRW 50,000 on October 13, 2026, while maintaining its Buy rating, according to Yonhap. The report cited higher investment in commerce and music and slower TVING user metrics as reasons for the reduction.
Two targets moved lower
The analyst reset followed an October 12 report from Financial News, which said NH Investment & Securities lowered its target from KRW 47,000 to KRW 44,000 while keeping its Buy rating. The 6.38 percent cut shows that the near-term earnings debate has shifted toward investment costs and TVING-related charges.
KB Securities forecast third-quarter operating profit of KRW 14.2 billion, below a KRW 29.5 billion consensus estimate, according to Yonhap. Its report also pointed to possible compensation costs linked to the TVING information leak.
What does the forecast mean?
Financial News reported that NH Investment estimated third-quarter revenue at KRW 1.20 trillion and an operating loss of KRW 161.4 billion. Excluding assumed TVING compensation costs of KRW 195.3 billion, the estimate became operating profit of KRW 33.9 billion, which the report described as in line with consensus.
The operating picture is uneven by segment. Music operating profit was estimated to rise 165 percent year over year to KRW 5.0 billion, while commerce operating profit was projected to increase 80 percent to KRW 22.7 billion, according to Financial News. Those figures make new-business monetization the central test for the next report.
Upcoming dates carry figures
CJ ENM's next dated milestones include a November 5, 2026 investor-relations meeting and a November 16, 2026 quarterly filing deadline, according to MarketSignal. The dates give investors two near-term checkpoints for updates on TVING, commerce and music investment.
Profit recovery remains conditional
The October 12 estimate places the key trade-off in clear terms: KRW 195.3 billion of assumed one-off TVING costs separates a projected operating loss of KRW 161.4 billion from KRW 33.9 billion of operating profit. For CJ ENM, the next catalyst is therefore the conversion of music and commerce growth into recurring earnings.
