ISU Petasys signed an investment agreement on Monday, November 2, 2026, with Daegu City and Dalseong County to build a seventh plant in the Daegu National Industrial Complex. The company plans to invest 500 billion Korean won, according to The Elec.

The planned facility is designed to respond to rising demand for high-layer-count printed circuit boards used in artificial intelligence accelerators and servers. The site covers about 168,595 square meters, making it roughly eight times the area of the site selected for the company's fifth plant in 2024.

Capacity build-out gathers pace

The seventh-plant plan comes before the completion of earlier projects. ISU Petasys has been expanding equipment at its first four plants and building a fifth facility, with that investment scheduled for completion by 2028. Its sixth plant in Daegu has completed construction and is preparing for full-scale production.

The company is also reviewing additional investment of 150 billion to 160 billion Korean won in equipment and auxiliary facilities for the sixth plant. The Elec reported that the latest investment period and amount remain under review and could change after discussions.

Daegu City plans to improve the industrial complex infrastructure supporting the expansion. Its measures include increasing wastewater treatment capacity from 5,000 tons to 10,000 tons per day, alongside upgrades to electricity, water and permitting support.

Specialist in high-layer-count boards

ISU Petasys manufactures printed circuit boards for network equipment, aerospace applications, AI accelerators, servers, storage systems and supercomputers, according to the company's website. The company is headquartered in Dalseong County, Daegu, South Korea. Its business profile is that of a specialized supplier focused on complex, high-layer-count boards for data infrastructure and other demanding electronics applications.
