Hightech Payment Systems reported stronger first-half performance on October 5, 2026, with operating revenue, recurring revenue and EBITDA all higher than a year earlier. The company also returned to net income and maintained its full-year growth outlook.
According to a Quartr summary, operating revenue rose 13.1 percent to MAD 760.6 million in the first half. Activity revenue increased 16.4 percent to MAD 740.9 million, while recurring revenue reached MAD 576.2 million, up 13.5 percent and accounting for 75.8 percent of consolidated revenue.
Profitability and guidance improve
EBITDA increased to MAD 121.9 million from MAD 69.8 million a year earlier as operating expenses grew more slowly than revenue. Net income attributable to shareholders came to MAD 34.8 million, compared with a loss of MAD 47.3 million in the prior-year period.
HPS reaffirmed its full-year 2026 organic growth guidance of 12 to 17 percent and continued to target progressive EBITDA-margin improvement. The company identified backlog conversion, SaaS platform expansion in North America, Australia and Asia, and additional upselling as key second-half drivers.
The backlog stood at MAD 1.729 billion, giving HPS a visible pool of contracted activity to convert into revenue. Management also highlighted cost discipline, cloud and artificial-intelligence initiatives, open banking and open finance as priorities for the remainder of the year.
HPS business and market focus
HPS develops payment solutions for issuers, acquirers, card processors, independent sales organisations, retailers and national and regional switches. Its PowerCARD suite covers transaction processing across multiple channels and payment methods.
The company serves more than 500 institutions in over 100 countries, according to HPS Worldwide. That international reach and its focus on payment infrastructure place HPS in the specialized payments-technology segment.
