HomePro's earnings outlook

  • InnovestX Research expects HomePro's fourth-quarter earnings to be the strongest of 2026.

HomePro's earnings outlook improved after InnovestX Research said on October 28, 2026, that the Thai home-improvement retailer could deliver its strongest quarter of the year in the fourth quarter. The research house said third-quarter net profit was in line with expectations and that October same-store sales had recovered sharply after flooding disrupted demand late in the previous quarter. InnovestX Research expects the recovery, store expansion and margin improvement to support sequential and year-over-year earnings growth.

Post-flood demand lifts expectations

InnovestX estimated October same-store sales growth at 8 percent year over year for HomePro and 10 percent for MegaHome. The analyst attributed the improvement to demand for home-repair and cleaning products in Bangkok and surrounding provinces, which account for about 40 percent of sales.

The research house said third-quarter net profit rose 1 percent year over year to THB 1.32 billion but fell 17 percent sequentially because of seasonality. Revenue increased 1 percent year over year on store expansion, while gross margin widened to 27.4 percent. The private-label sales mix also increased, supporting profitability as consumers traded down.

Margins remain the key swing factor

InnovestX expects positive same-store sales to support gross margin through a higher mix of private-label products and stronger supplier rebates. That benefit could be partly offset by the fading contribution from lower-cost inventory, which supported results in the second and third quarters. Purchasing power and possible government policy changes remain key risks to the forecast.

Industry publication DIY International reported that HomePro's third-quarter retail turnover increased 0.66 percent year over year, while sales for January through September remained below the prior-year level. The report said the group operated 134 stores at the end of the quarter, including HomePro, Mega Home and hybrid locations.

HomePro's retail positioning

HomePro operates a one-stop home center in Thailand and Southeast Asia, selling home and outdoor goods, furniture, decoration products and appliances. Its services also cover construction, renovation, repairs, cleaning and residential design. The company competes with Thai home-improvement retailers including DoHome, Global House and Mr. D.I.Y., with HomePro positioned as a broad-format retailer in the category, according to its corporate website and a peer comparison by Investing.com.
