- The former Heliopolis Company headquarters was included in a regional register of heritage architecture and urbanism.
- The decision followed an ALECSO Urban Observatory meeting held in Cairo.
The former headquarters of Heliopolis Company for Housing and Development has been included in a regional heritage register, according to Ahram Online. The decision was announced on October 28, 2026, after the 11th meeting of the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization's Urban Observatory in Cairo.
Former headquarters receives recognition
The building was one of three Egyptian properties approved for inclusion in the Register of Heritage Architecture and Urbanism in Arab Countries. The Egyptian Ministry of Culture nominated the properties for the regional register.
Ahram Online identified the Heliopolis Company building as the former administrative headquarters of the company. The report said the building reflects the Neo-Islamic architectural identity associated with the early development of Heliopolis and was designed by architect Ernest Jaspar. It is also officially listed in Cairo's heritage buildings register.
What investors should note
The decision concerns the historical building and does not by itself provide information about the company's current operating performance, earnings or valuation. For investors, the development is therefore best viewed as a corporate and local heritage item rather than as evidence of a change in financial guidance or business prospects.
