- Financing at Opain and Pacífico 2 is intended to accelerate cash flows to Odinsa and strengthen Grupo Argos' capital allocation flexibility.
- The transactions support Odinsa's development as Grupo Argos' asset management platform and may help fund further share repurchases.
- Grupo Argos' portfolio combines cement, energy and transport infrastructure businesses across the Americas.
Grupo Argos said on September 30, 2026, that financing transactions at two Odinsa concessions had advanced its ACE 1.0 strategy. The company said the operations are designed to accelerate cash generation, unlock capital from mature assets and improve its flexibility to allocate resources. The announcement was published by Grupo Argos.
Financing supports cash generation
Opain, the concessionaire that manages, operates and maintains Bogota's El Dorado International Airport, completed a USD 185 million debt refinancing. Grupo Argos said the transaction released USD 55 million in capital, reduced Opain's debt cost and accelerated distributions to shareholders.
Pacífico 2 completed a COP 510 billion financing. According to Grupo Argos, the proceeds will support general corporate and operating needs, dividend distributions and the concession's financial obligations. Together, the two transactions are expected to accelerate COP 195 billion in cash flows to Odinsa.
ACE 1.0 keeps capital allocation central
The company said the transactions form part of ACE 1.0's second and third pillars. The program is intended to strengthen cash generation and distributions, release capital from mature assets and give management more flexibility to pursue opportunities offering higher returns for shareholders.
Grupo Argos also said the transactions support Odinsa's development as its sole asset management platform. That positioning links the operating performance of airports and roads with the holding company's broader capital allocation agenda.
Portfolio spans infrastructure businesses
Grupo Argos is an infrastructure holding company with activities in cement and concrete, road and airport concessions, and power generation, transmission, marketing and distribution through hydro, solar, thermal and wind plants. Its principal operating businesses include Cementos Argos, Celsia and Odinsa, and its headquarters are in Medellin, Colombia. Simply Wall St lists Manufacturas de Cemento, Mineros and Asia Cement among the company's named peers, placing Grupo Argos in a diversified regional infrastructure and materials niche rather than a single-product segment.
