Grupo Aeroportuario del Sureste reported revenue of MXN 18,377.9 million for the six months ended June 30, 2026, up 5.0 percent from the comparable period. The airport operator also completed its Motiva transaction on September 1, adding interests in 20 airports across four countries.
Revenue grows as earnings decline
According to StockTitan, ASUR's adjusted consolidated EBITDA fell 7.5 percent to MXN 9,942.5 million in the six-month period, while net income declined 10.1 percent to MXN 5,311.0 million. Passenger traffic was 36.2 million, compared with 36.3 million a year earlier.
The comparison points to a more demanding earnings mix: revenue expanded, but EBITDA and net income moved lower. For investors, the acquisition-driven expansion now meets weaker traffic in parts of the existing network.
Motiva adds 20 airports
PR Newswire reported that ASUR completed the acquisition of Motiva's interests in airports in Brazil, Ecuador, Costa Rica and Curacao on September 1, 2026. The transaction expanded the group's geographic footprint beyond Mexico, Puerto Rico and Colombia.
The strategic effect is visible in the operating scale, but the six-month figures show why execution matters. ASUR's traffic was nearly unchanged year over year at 36.2 million passengers, while adjusted EBITDA fell by MXN 803.6 million from the comparable period.
