Generation Development Group started fiscal 2027 with stronger funds under management across its wealth businesses, led by record investment-bond sales at Generation Life. Financial Standard reported on 23 October 2026 that group funds under management reached AUD 48.1 billion at 30 September 2026, up 29 percent from the prior corresponding period.
Generation Life leads quarterly momentum
Generation Life was the strongest contributor. Its funds under management rose 33 percent year on year to AUD 6.38 billion, while quarterly sales reached a record AUD 518.4 million. Net sales also reached a new high of AUD 427 million.
The company attributed the performance to adviser demand for tax-effective investment solutions, broader distribution activity and growing interest in investment bonds for long-term wealth planning and retirement needs. Its Lifetime annuity offering recorded its strongest quarter since launching in 2022, with sales up 71 percent year on year to AUD 8.5 million.
Managed accounts add diversification
Evidentia Group ended the quarter with AUD 41.7 billion in funds under management, an increase of 28 percent from the prior corresponding period. It recorded AUD 1.54 billion in net inflows, including AUD 74 million in net new mandates. Louise Watson also became chief executive, with a focus on distribution, platform capabilities and operating efficiency.
Lonsec Research and Ratings continued to report demand for its core research services, particularly in separately managed accounts. Its Lonsec Governance Solutions business was exploring investment-oversight demand through several client trials, adding a newer growth avenue but not yet providing disclosed revenue or conversion figures.
Investor context
The update shows that Generation Development is growing across product manufacturing, investment implementation and research and governance rather than relying on one business line. However, funds under management and sales growth do not by themselves establish the effect on earnings, margins or cash generation. Technology and product investment will remain relevant to that assessment.
