Fuji Media stock gains 1.20 percent as property sale draws bids

The move followed a report that the company's property unit could attract a JPY 1 trillion valuation including debt, giving investors a concrete measure for the real estate portfolio.
Property sale sets the catalyst
According to Futubull on October 6, Blackstone, Bain Capital and Warburg Pincus were among investors preparing final bids for Fuji Media's Sankei Building property unit. The report said the company could seek shareholder approval after selecting a preferred bidder.
The valuation matters because the possible transaction would put a price on a major non-broadcasting asset. The same report said Fuji Media was still evaluating the method, scale and timing of any investment or sale, leaving the transaction structure as the main variable for the stock.
Q1 revenue reached JPY 148.84 billion
Yahoo Finance lists Q1 FY27 revenue at JPY 148.84 billion, earnings at JPY 10.22 billion and GAAP earnings per share at JPY 71.74. The reported profit margin was 6.87 percent for the quarter.
Those figures give the property story an operating counterweight. Fuji Media remains a broadcasting-led group, but the potential real estate transaction places capital allocation beside quarterly earnings as a separate valuation issue.
Consensus target sits above the price
As Yahoo Finance Japan reported, a Japanese securities firm kept its Neutral rating on October 1 while raising its price target from JPY 3,600 to JPY 4,100. The report also put the consensus target at JPY 4,160 from eight analysts as of September 30, which is 4.89 percent above the October 6 price.
Fuji Media stock therefore sits below both the consensus target and the 52-week high of JPY 4,466. Its JPY 3,966 price was 11.2 percent below that high, while the October 6 market capitalization was JPY 576.6 billion and trading volume reached 1,005,700 shares.
Fuji Media stock heads toward November results
Fuji Media Holdings lists November 6, 2026, for the announcement of its FY2026 second-quarter results. That report will give investors a new operating checkpoint while the property-unit process develops.
