Emtek bought 188.70 million Bukalapak shares on September 22 and a further 424.44 million shares on October 23. The two transactions totaled 613.14 million shares and lifted Emtek's direct holding from 10.49% to 11.08%. The company said the purchases were made for investment and confirmed that it was not Bukalapak's controlling shareholder.
Investment adds digital exposure
The transaction strengthens Emtek's exposure to Indonesia's digital economy through Bukalapak, while leaving the group's broader portfolio unchanged. The disclosure identifies the purchases as an investment rather than a change in control or a takeover proposal.
