Doosan Enerbility signs Vietnam deal: Doosan Enerbility stock sits 41.74 percent below its high
Published on 10/06/2026 at 02:13 | Editorial responsibility: Rafael Müller, Editor-in-Chief AD HOC NEWSDoosan Enerbility (KR7034020008) signed an engineering, procurement and construction contract worth KRW 837.97 billion for Vietnam's O Mon III combined-cycle power plant. CBC Globe reported the September 30, 2026 signing on October 1, 2026, with Vietnam National Industry and Energy Group as counterparty. The contract equals 4.91 percent of recent sales and covers the period from October 6, 2026, to October 6, 2030.
Vietnam order adds backlog visibility
The project covers engineering, procurement and construction work in Can Tho, Vietnam, with payments tied to project milestones. Financial News said revenue recognition will depend on construction progress and contract terms, keeping the order's contribution spread across the project period.
The contract gives the power-generation equipment and EPC specialist a fresh order connected to gas-fired generation in Southeast Asia. For investors, the milestone-based payment structure is the key counterweight to the headline contract value because cash conversion will follow execution rather than the signing date.
Second-quarter figures improved
Doosan Enerbility reported KRW 4.72 trillion of revenue in the second quarter of 2026, up from KRW 4.26 trillion in the first quarter. Net income reached KRW 157.62 billion, compared with KRW 0.76 billion in the first quarter, according to Investing.com.
The quarterly comparison points to a sharp earnings improvement, although the company also reported negative operating cash flow of KRW 321.13 billion for the second quarter. That contrast makes order execution and working-capital movement important indicators for the next results update.
Stock remains below yearly high
Doosan Enerbility stock stood at KRW 81,100 on the Seoul Stock Exchange on October 5, 2026, 41.74 percent below the KRW 139,200 52-week high and above the KRW 57,000 low. Its market capitalization was KRW 51.8 trillion on the same date.
Investing.com lists November 4, 2026, as the next earnings date and shows an average 12-month analyst target of KRW 125,361. The next report will help investors judge whether the improved second-quarter earnings can support the company's expanding power-generation backlog.
