Walmart announces Feeding America grant
Walmart announced a new $15 million grant to Feeding America on September 30, according to Walmart. The company said the funding will help food banks and local agencies expand food-rescue infrastructure and improve the collection, storage and distribution of food. Feeding America expects the investment to help its network rescue 500 million pounds of food over the next 18 months.
Feeding America said the grant will support staffing, transportation, cold storage, technology and training at food banks and partner agencies.
